US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Tuesday that “productive discussions” took place between the United States and the Taliban on the issue of humanitarian aid for Afghanistan during meetings in Qatar over the weekend, describing the talks as “largely positive.”
Price added that another meeting was held on Tuesday with representatives of the Taliban, in which officials from the European Union participated as well as US officials.
