Dhe Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urgently called for more support from the West in the fight against Russia. In his video address on Sunday evening, he referred to the civilians killed and injured in the latest Russian attacks over the weekend. At least twelve people were killed in Odessa alone on the Black Sea; 16 people injured in Kurachowe in the east of the country.
“No state in Europe could have withstood such pressure and evil alone,” said Zelensky, referring to further Russian attacks in recent days. “And that’s why it’s important that we all stand together now – everyone who values life and who doesn’t want this terror to spread to other nations.”
All leading politicians and international organizations must react harshly to the actions of Russia and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. “Putin doesn’t want peace – he just wants war and death,” Zelensky said. “He doesn't care who he kills, his main goal is destruction – Ukraine and Ukrainians first. And then you, dear partners.”
Zelenskyj continued: “That is why it is a question of survival – not just for Ukraine – that the world reacts to Russian evil and strikes back.” The war must become hopeless for Russia. “Russian evil should not be emboldened by weak decisions, delivery delays or indecision.”
Death toll in Odessa continues to rise

A few hours earlier, according to Kiper, the bodies of a woman and a baby had been recovered from the rubble. The child was not even a year old.
