Airport operations in Porto Alegre are paralyzed, while the other 11 airports operate with restrictions
No airport in Rio Grande do Sul is refueling planes. Of the 12 airport facilities in the State, only the capital’s airport has operations suspended. The rest operate with restrictions.

The government reported that Porto Alegre airport was closed and has no power. The estimate is that operations at the site will be paralyzed until Friday (May 10).
An emergency helipad was installed on the 8th floor of the garage building for rescue actions. Around 70 employees are at the airport, with 100% of passengers being evacuated.
The fuel stock was relocated to Canoas airport for security reasons. According to the report, the climate reading suggests that the reversal of wind direction will begin to reduce the volume of water at the airport.
