There is less than a month left until the failed RTVE opposition exam is held again and there are still many unknowns to be resolved. The interim president of RTVE, Concepción Cascajosa, appeared last week in the Congress of Deputies and acknowledged that the internal investigation to clarify the leak had already been launched. However, little is known until now. RTVE opened last Thursday, October 17, disciplinary file against a worker of the Corporation as a result of the progress of the investigations derived from the leak. The disciplinary file is based on the alleged non-compliance, by a worker, with the provisions of the RTVE Collective Agreement as well as the action manual of the Assessment Committee. The worker is Julián Pérez Olmos, member of the tribunal proposed by UGT.
While some workers encourage participating in a strike on October 25 “against corruption” of the CorporationCCOO wanted to expand the suspicion about the leak after the complaint it filed. “The disciplinary file opened by the management to the UGT member in the opposition court for the evidence of informants raises the enormous question of whether Julián Pérez Olmos acted on his own or acted at the request of the union,” the union acknowledges. They also request the number of applicants who received the leak as well as whether this also occurred in other courts. «A review must be carried out, with the participation of this representation, of the results of the theoretical tests already carried out in this call, so that through a statistical analysis of the response patterns of the candidates, the existence of other possible illegal acts can be detected. », says the union.
After these statements, UGT wanted to respond to the union. «This is a union whose shadowy goings-on and shameful manipulations, plagued by unspeakable union and, above all, personal interests, “It has forced us so many times to have to write about it to prevent them from doing even more damage to this public company and its workers,” they say from UGT, referring to CCOO. In addition, they demand that the name of who leaked the questions from the CCOO member’s exam be given. »Is it common for the members designated by this union to share questions with the CCOO management? We demand that it be investigated,” reads the statement.
In addition to that, the union demands to know who leaked the minutes of the evaluation commission. While the member is investigated and CCOO questions the work of Julián Pérez Olmos, UGT answers the accusations. «At UGT-RTVE we do not admit ethics classes from CCOO, because it is precisely our ethics and transparency that pushes us election after election to have the support of the workers of the CRTVE, increasing our representativeness, and they are precisely the lies, falsehoods and goings-on of CCOO in RTVE that have been sinking this union, increasingly less representative and with less support«.
