The US attorney general asks for the death penalty for Luigi Mangione, the murderer of a private health manager

The US attorney general, PAM Bondi, reported Wednesday that he will ask for the death penalty at the trial against Luigi Mangione, the man who killed the director of private health director Brian Thompson last December. “It was a premeditated murder and cold blood” and an “act of political violence,” Bondi justified in a statement.

“After considering it carefully, I have instructed federal prosecutors to ask for the death penalty in this case, as part of the Trump President Trump’s agenda to stop the violent crimes and make the US sure again,” Bondi argued.
