Video: Police save elderly woman just before train speeds past

A heroic deed was seen in India, when a A uniformed Indian Railway Police (RPF) man saved an elderly woman from being run over by a train.

The incident would have occurred at the Lalitpur railway station, near the city of Jhansi, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

In the video, distributed by the country’s Ministry of Railways, it is possible to see how the policeman signals for the woman to leave the train tracks, where people are not allowed to be.

Seeing that the woman does not hurry, the policeman decides to quickly approach and pull her from the edge of the train line just as the train passes at full speed, saving the woman’s life.

“The woman’s life was saved by the vigilance and promptness of the RPF personnel!

An elderly woman crossing the track at Jhansi Division’s Lalitpur station was saved by railway security personnel stationed there playing with her life.

“Everyone is requested to use the Foot Over Bridge to go from one platform to another,” the Ministry of Trains said in a tweet where it released the video of the event.
