Jürgen Klopp’s last days at Liverpool have been full of nostalgia. The German coach will leave the team where the Colombian Luis Díaz plays as soon as the current Premier League season ends.
He also won an FA Cup (2022), two League Cups (2022 and 2024), a Community Shield (2022), a European Super Cup (2019) and a Club World Cup (2019).
The last act will be this Sunday, when Liverpool receives Wolverhampton at Anfield. “Saying goodbye is never pleasant, but saying goodbye without feeling sad or hurt, that would have meant that the moment was not wonderful,” the coach declared on Friday.
Klopp has looked nostalgic in his last week at the helm of the team. He was discovered looking at the Anfield field, with the stadium empty. He then took a farewell photo with all the club’s employees. And very early, on Saturday, he posted a message of gratitude to his fans on his social networks.
“Well, last day in the office, last full training. He feels strange. Some became emotional. I still do not. I told myself, tomorrow (Sunday) is the last game and then vacation. “I won’t know what I feel until I feel it myself tomorrow,” Klopp said.
“I will leave this place today. An interesting experience. There are the boxes, oh, oh, oh… I’ll see you tomorrow,” added the German.
