One step away from great goals
Making history further by winning the sixth consecutive pole since the start of the season (-1 from Alain Prost’s record and equaling Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell), and not being fully satisfied with the result obtained. It’s this too Max Verstappenwho after the pole in the Sprint qualifying and the victory in today’s Sprint Race, once again established himself ahead of everyone in the qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix.
Ferrari’s attack repelled
Just like in yesterday’s practice, today too the three-time world champion focused on some problems he noticed during the session. Obstacles which were not so insidious as to deny him the best time, and which added to the growing competitiveness of the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainzwho will start behind him in tomorrow’s race.
Confidence for the race, but on one condition
“I think the balance was more linear, I felt better – declared a Sky Sports F1 – but it’s a little difficult to feel the adhesion, as in yesterday’s qualifying, it’s the same story. The question was to minimize errors during the lap, and we succeeded. They weren’t the most pleasant qualifications of my life, but I’m still happy. In general this weekend the Ferrari were more competitiveand for my part the only thing I can say is that, as long as I feel happier with the car than this morning, I have confidence that we will be able to stay ahead“.
