The activities of the Farmers’ Festival in its second session, organized by the Municipality of Mleiha and the Municipal Council of Mleiha, started yesterday evening in the Friday Market in Mleiha.
Mosbeh Saif Awad Al Ketbi, Director of Mleiha Municipality, said: The festival seeks to support farmers in the central region, highlight their efforts and help them display their agricultural crops and various products, and contribute to selling and marketing them.
Al-Ketbi pointed out that the festival included many events and activities that attracted a large number of visitors, including the corner of productive families displaying their products of handicrafts, incense, perfumes and folk foods, as well as the farmers corner of the central region to display their agricultural crops and animal products, in addition to presenting a number of events cultural and agricultural activities and various educational workshops for children; In order to educate them in the agricultural field.
During the festival, the Municipality of Mleiha gave a detailed explanation about the project of the wheat farm in Mleiha, models of its cultivation methods, and a presentation on some of the wheat grains that will be planted in the project.
On the sidelines of the festival, the municipality of Mleiha organized the “The Most Beautiful Ghaf Tree” competition, and a “general cooking competition”, in addition to military performances and dances.

Sultan Ali Saif al-Khassouni, head of the Municipal Council of Mleiha, explained that the farmers’ festival contributed to gathering farmers in one place, to serve as a forum that allows them to display and sell their products to the public, and to learn about the methods adopted by citizen farmers, in addition to providing them with new agricultural skills and information.
