The Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC) of the University of São Paulo (USP) will have a free summer school and online for girls between the ages of 8 and 18 to learn how to create mobile apps.
The registration link will be released during a live event, which takes place today (12), at 2 pm. The event will be broadcast by YouTube.
To apply, you don’t need to have prior experience in the technology field. Participants need to identify with the female gender (including transsexuals and non-binary people), have a Gmail account and internet access, in addition to a computer and a smartphone.

The activities will be carried out remotely between March 5 and April 23.
60 places will be offered to students from public and private schools throughout Brazil. The school’s goal is to teach girls how to turn ideas into applications, encouraging skills related to entrepreneurship, teamwork and the art of public speaking.
