US travel, AstraZeneca vaccinated entry to the States: rules

The United States reopens the borders to vaccinated foreigners from 8 November, even with AstraZeneca: yes to the entry of those who have received the covid vaccine and come from 33 countries, including Italy. It is assumed that the US will welcome those who have completed the cycle with vaccines also approved in the States by the FDA: Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. TRAVEL TO THE USA, WHO CAN ENTER

According to the new rules, entry into the US is allowed to citizens who have completed the vaccination cycle: a certificate attesting to vaccination and the result of a negative swab performed to the maximum must be exhibited.

WHICH VACCINES ARE VALID

In addition to the 3 vaccines approved in the USA – Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson – all those who have received the green light from the WHO are accepted: AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Covishield, Sinopharm and Sinovac. Anyone who has received the single dose of a single-dose vaccine or the second dose of a cycle divided into two administrations is considered fully vaccinated at the time of departure of the flight. Heterologous vaccination is also accepted, with an interval of at least 17 days between the 2 doses. To enter the US you need a paper or digital certificate attesting to the vaccination. Even a copy or a photo is valid, provided that the identity of the subject, the institution that administered the vaccine, the manufacturer of the vaccine and the dates of administration of the doses are clear. For those entering the US from Canada or Mexico by land, a negative swab is not required, minors under 18 enter if accompanied by an adult.

DO MINORS HAVE TO BE VACCINATED?

Minors under the age of 18 may enter the United States if they are over the age of 2, traveling with a vaccinated adult, and tested negative for a swab within 72 hours prior to travel. If a child is traveling alone or with an unvaccinated adult (who may not have received the vaccine for health reasons) he will have to undergo a swab within 24 hours prior to the trip.
