Football: Kamara on camera: video recording confirms allegations against NFL star
A camera could be Alvin Kamara’s undoing. According to a police report, video footage from a casino in Las Vegas has confirmed that the football star from the New Orleans Saints from the professional league NFL punched a man several times. The 26-year-old was arrested on Sunday night after the incident.
Kamara has to answer for serious bodily harm, the victim suffered, among other things, a broken eye socket. The argument broke out at an elevator, and Kamara hit the man a total of eight times. Three times when he was already on the ground – this was announced after the recordings had been evaluated. A companion of the running back is said to have kicked the victim 16 times.
According to the police, the NFL professional said he only wanted to stop the man from running away. The video footage does not support this claim. Kamara attended the Pro Bowl, the NFL’s all-star game, on Sunday. This was possible because the victim had not previously been able to be questioned because of his injuries. On March 8th there will be a hearing before the court.
Ice hockey: Stützle wins with Ottawa at the Devils
Young star Tim Stützle has clinched another win with the Ottawa Senators in the North American ice hockey league NHL. The Canadians won 4-1 at the New Jersey Devils. Stützle (20), who has scored eight times in 39 games this season, did not score a point. The Senators remain second to bottom in the Eastern Conference with 12 wins.
Basketball: Suns win top NBA game against Bulls – Heat and Warriors win
The Phoenix Suns won the NBA’s top game against the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls reduced a 15-point deficit to three points in the last 100 seconds of the game, but were no longer able to avert the 124:127 in front of their own fans. Devin Booker for the Suns and DeMar DeRozan for Chicago were the top scorers, each with 38 points, in the encounter between the top team in the Western Conference and the previously second-best team in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls slipped to third place behind defending champions Milwaukee Bucks after their third loss in the past four games.
The Golden State Warriors, as the first pursuers of the Suns, could only hold the gap with the 110:98 at the Oklahoma City Thunder, but not reduce it. In the Eastern Conference, not only the Bucks but also the Miami Heat benefited from the Bulls’ defeat and increased their lead three days before the end of the transfer window with a 121-100 win against the Washington Wizards.
