In the Norwegian city of Kongsberg, an innocent opened archery in a public place, five people were killed and two were injured. About it informs Aftenposten edition with reference to the local police chief Eyvind Aas.
It is noted that the attacker acted alone in different parts of the city, so there are no searches for accomplices. The man shot, including in one of the large stores, his employees were not injured.
Coop’s public relations manager, Harald Christiansen, of the supermarket where the perpetrator shot, confirmed that a serious incident did occur, but the staff were unharmed.
Eyvind Aas did not rule out the version of the terrorist attack in the actions of the criminal. He pointed out that five people were killed and wounded, including a plainclothes policeman. The victims were taken to a hospital in Drammen, eight ambulances and three medical helicopters were involved.

The western part of the city was evacuated, eyewitnesses report that the offender tried to escape, the police probably shot him and then detained him. Currently, law enforcement officers do not provide details about the offender and the detention, a search of his home is planned. The identity of the attacker is also not disclosed, as well as the motive for his actions.
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg said during a press conference that following the attack by a man with a bow, the police are in control of the situation in Kungsberg.
According to Kungsberg Mayor Kari Anne Sand, the municipality has appointed crisis officers and is monitoring the situation closely. The city governor stressed that this is a tragedy for all victims, the crisis team is working and providing assistance as needed.
Earlier, one person was killed and more than a dozen were injured in a shootout in a bar in St. Paul, the US state of Minnesota. The shooting took place on Sunday night, October 10, at a bar on Seventh Street. Unidentified persons opened fire in a crowded drinking establishment. Law enforcement officials said that immediately after the shooting, several people called emergency services and “desperately begged for help.”
