United States | The violent weather continues in California, almost 20 deaths

In places, the rainfall has been the highest in 150 years.

Stateside California’s exceptionally strong winter storm streak continues. A cyclone spinning off the coast of California on Wednesday has brought more heavy rains to the already soggy state, increasing the risk of floods and landslides.

In total, at least 18 people have already died in the fierce winds that have continued since the New Year. In places, the rainfall has been the highest in the state’s history for 150 years.
