The UK Transport Department announced this Monday (14) that it will lift the remaining restrictions for those arriving from international travel from 4 pm (local time, 7 pm GMT) next Friday (18).
According to a statement, it will no longer be necessary to fill out a form informing places where the passenger has been before, nor will tests be required of travelers who do not qualify as vaccinated against Covid-19.
“Given the current state of the pandemic and the move towards global travel volumes to return to normal, the remaining quarantine capacity of managed hotels will be fully reduced from the end of March,” added the secretariat, which said contingency measures may be adopted in case of future variants of the new coronavirus.
