The weekend is over, but the dramatic events that hit Italian roads do not end. Today’s news is of yet another tragic event accident with a terrible outcome. The collision between two vehicles, in particular a heavy vehicle and a van, occurred this morning on the Naples ring road.
In the early hours of Monday morning, a truck violently impacted a van stopped at the edge of the road. The collision caused the death of a man almost instantly who saw the heavy vehicle hit the much smaller vehicle.
The circumstances of the incident are still to be clarified, but according to the first hypotheses, the truck in transit would have collided with the van that would have been stopped. The causes are still being ascertained. It can be hypothesized a miscalculation, a distraction or even a moment of sleep given the time of the accident.
The victim is the driver of the van, who died instantly due to thedevastating impacthad no escape and the rescuers who arrived on the scene unfortunately had little to do. The accident occurred, as anticipated, in the early hours of today, Monday 23 September 2024, around 5:30 am, near the Agnano Astroni junction, immediately after the service area, in the direction of Capodichino, on the stretch that leads from Pozzuoli to Corso Malta. This is yet another accident in the early hours of the morning this month.
THE rescue they arrived in a few minutes, with an ambulance from 118 that intervened at the scene of the accident, but unfortunately the paramedics could do nothing but confirm the death of the man. The technicians of the Tangenziale also arrived on site to secure the area and the police, including the traffic police and the judicial police.
The footage is being examined surveillance cameras to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident, which are still unclear at the moment. Given the time, traffic was relatively light, but the accident subsequently caused major slowdowns. After the relevant surveys and the removal of debris, traffic returned to normal.
