There is no sign of decreasing the dramatic number of road accidents that continue to relentlessly plague Italian roads. The last, fatal one, cost the life of a young engaged couple who died during the night due to a dramatic accident occurred in the Bari area.

Their car, for reasons yet to be ascertained, fell from an overpass causing their immediate death.

Last night, a dramatic road accident occurred in the Bari area and more precisely in Cassano delle Murge. Accident which unfortunately caused the death of two young engaged men, in their early twenties.

Based on what emerged from the first reconstructions carried out by law enforcement officers, the car in which the victims, an engaged couple aged 24 and 21, were travelling, suddenly fell off an overpass. The causes of the dramatic accident are not yet known. They are currently being examined by investigators.

Once the alarm was raised, the 118 health workers and the firefighters promptly arrived at the scene of the accident. The doctors and paramedics who intervened immediately took action to provide aid to the two boys, but unfortunately every attempt to save their lives proved in vain. The impact of the car with the asphalt was extremely violent, so much so that both were injured death instantly. The doctors could not help but confirm that he had died.

At the scene of the accident, in addition to the paramedics and the firefighters, the doctors also intervened carabinieri to proceed with the carrying out of the ritual investigations in order to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.

Municipal ordinance

Meanwhile, the municipality of Cassano delle Murge, where the road accident occurred, has issued aorder to block transit on the entrance ramp towards the Provincial Road 236 in the direction Sannicandro of Bari. There is an obligation to turn right towards Cassano delle Murge for those coming from Via Totò-Viale Europa, without single travel for vehicles coming from provincial road 236.

These provisions will remain in force until safety conditions for traffic are fully restored.
