Tragedy in the home pool: the little boy was only 3 years old

Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for a 3-year-old boy who drowned today, Friday 2 August, in his home swimming pool in Via del Tritone in Palermo.

The tragedy that occurred today in Palermo has unfortunately seen the death of a 3-year-old child in his home swimming pool. The little boy’s home is located in the seaside village of Sferracavallo.

According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, when the tragedy occurred, the child’s parents were resting at home. The little boy, who would have turned 3 tomorrow, went out into the garden on his own, ending up in the pool where he drowned.

As soon as he noticed his son was missing, the father rushed to look for him throughout the house but was unable to find him. When he finally found him lifeless in the pool, he immediately called for help. Several ambulances arrived at the scene of the accident and among the paramedics there was also a resuscitation doctor. Unfortunately, however, despite the desperate attempts at resuscitation, there was nothing that could be done for the little boy. He was already dead when the rescue arrived.

The investigations are underway

In the seaside village of Sferracavallo, particularly popular in the summer, many know the family of the little victim. Friends and acquaintances have gathered in front of the house where the tragedy took place, shocked by what happened.
