Forget Aston Martin, this is the car you need as a wannabe James Bond.
We see new supercars on a regular basis, but too often they are just renders. However, today we have a new supercar that actually exists. In fact, it is already the second generation of this model. The American Rezvani presents their new Beast today.
You may not immediately have that car in mind, so a quick introduction: the first Beast dates from 2015 and was based on the Ariel Atom. So this was a real lightweight sports car. Then there was the Beast Alpha X Blackbird, which was based on an Elise. Both cars were equipped with a four-cylinder engine and weighed less than 1,000 kg.
With the new Beast, Rezvani takes a different approach: this is a car with a twin-turbo 6.2 liter V8 and a weight of about 1,350 kg. Truly a different animal. With a power of 1,000 hp, this car enters hypercar territory. The sprint from 0-60 mph (96.6 km/h) should be completed in 2.5 seconds.
Although this Beast is presented as a newly developed car, we dare poison pepper spray to assume that this is a converted Corvette C8. The silhouette looks suspiciously like the Corvette, especially the dashboard. And coincidentally, the C8 also has a 6.2 liter V8.
So it is in fact a tuned Corvette with a different bodywork, but this Rezvani is a lot lighter. A C8 weighs about 1,650 kg, while the Rezvani Beast only weighs 1,350 kg. This is due to the fact that the body is made of carbon.
Also interesting: Rezvani Beast has a number of options that you will certainly not find on Chevrolet's options list. The Beast can be equipped with, among other things, a smoke screen, a pepper spray dispenser, protection against electromagnetic radiation and door handles that are electrified. The makers of this car have watched a few too many films… They admit that themselves.
If you really have a lot of enemies, you can even order a bulletproof version. The weight saving compared to the Corvette will probably be canceled out. Maybe it's better to order the Rezvani Tank.
Rezvani does not have ambitious goals in terms of sales numbers, because the edition is limited to only 20 copies. For a limited supercar with 1,000 hp you expect a price tag in seven figures, but that is not so bad. The starting price is €452,000. Please note: this does not include smoke screen and pepper spray.
