This year the Artz Pedregal in Mexico is hosting the Worlds 2022 Play-Ins. This is something very special for all of us as fans of League of Legends. Riot Games positions its figure in esports in an incredible way and makes us part of it.
The Artz Pedregal —the luxury shopping center— hosts Worlds 2022 in a very cute way. While the Arena sits at one end, the theater keeps the press and Play Ins merchandise inside — which quickly flew by. Fans come to the movies and can sometimes meet the players.
Secondly, in the courtyard of the Artz Pedregal, Worlds 2022 is broadcast on a huge screen with clear sound, outdoors. Other fans can enjoy the games on that broadcast because anyone can sit around the fountain, with a coffee in the evening games and an ice cream in the afternoon.
At night you will even be able to observe the moon and the vibrant color of the lolcito’s speakers. It definitely sounds like a good plan for the weekend.
A couple of masks created by Riot Games were exhibited at Cinemex de Artz Pedregal, these are special because they refer to Mexican culture: wrestling. The masks presented are in two colors —one black and one silver— and bear the legend “MEXICO CITY”, “ONE & ONLY”.
There’s also the tournament icon in a very bright gold, with lights on top of it that make it more of a statement.
Even Braum is exposed in his ring skin: the Braum tiger. Just looking at the Worlds 2022 posters is quite an experience.
We recommend: League of Legends comes to Game Pass and unlocks all the champions
The theme of Worlds 2022 in Artz Pedregal
From the press presentation, Riot Games began to bet on the influence of wrestling as a particular motif in its image in Mexico. The masks, the Braum tiger, and the Worlds palm sign — from last September 28 — are flirty nods to Riot-style Mexican culture.
