'Berk Island' captures “the heart, humor and scale of the films within an authentic recreation of the harsh and rocky world, where raucous Vikings and rambunctious dragons coexist in playful harmony,” the firm says in a statement.
The themed area will offer “one of the most impressive environments Universal has ever created”according to the note, thanks to immense architecture with hand-carved details, as well as “lush landscapes and hills of extraordinary heights” that surround dragon houses and local establishments.
Visitors entering the 'Berk Island'You will find a large lagoon as your first view of this monumental area, with two Viking statues up to 40 feet (12 meters) high and where four attractions will be available, in addition to a live show and experiences with the characters of the saga.
Attractions include 'Hiccup's Wing Gliders', a roller coaster where guests will 'fly alongside Hiccup and Toothless' at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour (72 km/h), and that will allow you to experience “what it is like to fly on a dragon,” according to the company.
The 'Isle of Berk' will also offer the live show 'The Untrainable Dragon'which will include “captivating musical numbers, stunning sets and life-size dragons soaring overhead.”
'Dragon Racer's Rally' and the 'Viking Training Camp' will be other of the attractions of the 'Isle of Berk' of the future Universal Epic Universe, which when it opens to the public on a date next year yet to be defined will be the fourth Universal Orlando Resort theme park.
This complex already has the parks Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay, which are distributed over an area of 700 acres in central Florida (USA).
Universal Epic Universe will be divided into five areasthe first of which will be 'Celestial Park', with “rolling gardens, water channels and walking paths”, and which returns “the park to the theme park”, as Universal Orlando explained earlier this year.
'Celestial Park' will serve as a connection route with the other four “worlds” that the park will have, which will be 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter', 'Super Nintendo World', 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'Dark Universe'.
