The Civil Guard has been searching since this Friday for the driver of a vehicle that fell off a cliff in Punta Prima, in Orihuela. The man is a resident of the Region of Murcia, according to the information provided.
The search began this Friday early in the morning, after the Local Police received an automatic message the night before from the vehicle’s security system, a red Audi A1. Police officers went to the scene, in Punta Prima, but found the car, overturned in the water, empty. There was no trace of occupants. After the investigations, the agents contacted the family and it was confirmed that the owner was missing.
A search device was then launched. The divers of the Civil Guard of Pilar de la Horadada searched for the driver throughout the day, without result. The Orihuela Local Police joined the operation, as well as some relatives of the disappeared man. The device was also joined by a helicopter that repeatedly flew over the area.

The Civil Guard continues to search for the man, about 50 years old. There was no trace of the occupant in the vehicle, only a mobile phone and personal belongings. The event occurred on a cliff, where the Audi A1 fell for reasons that are still unknown, from the road. There are, however, no signs that the driver lost control of the vehicle, nor are there any signs inside the car to determine that the occupant suffered injuries. There is, in this sense, no trace of blood, or at least his presence has not transpired in the inquiries carried out this Friday.
