120 years The Tampere Workers’ Theater (TTT) received a total of about 100,000 visitors in the show season 2021–2022. The figure is high compared to the fact that the theater’s performance period was about two months shorter than normal due to event restrictions. Before the pandemic, the number of spectators at OSH was about 145,000.
The most watched performance was the musical that premiered in the fall of 2021 Matilda, which was seen by more than 29,000 viewers. The second most watched was a musical Kinky Bootswhich received about 24,700 viewers.
At the closing ceremony of the OSH screening season on May 25, deserving theater makers were awarded.
Juha-Matti Koskela
The actor received the Veikko Sinisalo Award from the Jenny Matinaho Foundation of the People’s Education Foundation for exemplary work ethic and creative madness. Juha-Matti Koskela. The prize is worth 5,000 euros.
Koskela has worked at the Tampere Workers’ Theater since 2011. Last season he acted In Kinky Boots. (2020).
The theater also distributed the badges of merit of the Confederation of Finnish Theater Organizations for meritorious work for theatrical art. The golden 40th anniversary badge was presented to the director Sirkku to Peltola and the actor To Jaana Oravisto.
