Saarakkala’s Jacket tells the story of middle-aged women.
Author-director Janne Saarakkalan new work Suit will have its premiere at KokoTeatter on February 18. According to the press release, the presentation tells about officialism and its effects, as well as about middle-aged women inside a jacket. The language of the performance is based on material compiled from public documents.
Music and dance focused In a jacket occur Miina Turunen and Anna Veijalainen. Responsible for the music in the work Timo Hirvonen and Jussi Lehtonen.
Janne Saarakkala (b. 1972) is a theater director, screenwriter and performer. His debut novel Happily Ever After (2020) was a finalist in the Helsingin Sanomat’s first book award.
