‘A little more nausea’
“The pregnancy has been very similar to having my son, but I have had a little more nausea. My husband, Jeff and Cambria have been incredible throughout the pregnancy (…) I feel very powerful carrying the daughter of my son,” said Nancy.
The baby will be born in November and Nancy said she “can’t wait to give birth,” reported the Daily Mail.
I told my son, and he cried and was shocked. He hadn’t even told my husband at the time, but he really supported me.
“I never imagined that I would be pregnant at 56 or that this would be possible, but it is the most beautiful,” the mother reported.
“I told my son, and he cried and was shocked. I hadn’t even told my husband at the time, but he really supported me.”
‘They had struggles with infertility’
Nancy said: “They have had many struggles with infertility but they had seven embryos to try with IVF and decided they wanted to use them,” the Daily Mail mentioned.
Jeff and Cambria had already collected fertilized embryos from their other IVF rounds, and Nancy had the embryo transferred in February 2022.
Nancy began her hormone treatment in January 2022, injecting herself every day for 12 weeks with the help of her husband and Jeff’s father, Jason, 59, who is an optometrist. The fertilized embryo was then transferred to her uterus a month later. And they were all ‘over the moon’ when it worked.
“It was a bit scary as it had been 26 years since I had a baby,” Nancy said.
‘Nancy’s pregnancy is a full beacon’
Cambria has been able to keep all of Nancy’s appointments, and the family was delighted to learn that they were expecting a girl. Cambria, a dance studio owner, said: ‘It’s so humble that Nancy is doing this for us.
“It has been so miraculous and beautiful to see Nancy carry our sweet little girl. She has been amazing and filled with so much light and grace,” Cambria said, The Mirror said: “They say pregnancy comes with a sparkle, but Nancy’s is a complete lighthouse.
Nancy’s son Jeff, a computer scientist, said: “I felt grateful to have such a selfless and loving mother [que] I was willing to make that kind of sacrifice for my family.”
Jeff added: “We are grateful and excited for the beautiful new life coming to our family.
Nancy’s granddaughter is due on November 5th and, all going according to plan, she will be born with Jason, Jeff and Cambria in the room.
