State Duma Deputy Boris Chernyshov asked the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova to check the quality of rapid tests for coronavirus and determine the most effective of them. This is reported TASS.
According to the parliamentarian, rapid testing in the face of an increase in the incidence would make it possible to quickly identify the sick, however, there are situations when in one family, whose members have become infected with COVID-19 and have the same symptoms, one person has an infection, while another does not.

Chernyshov stressed that with the high cost of tests, the issue of their quality becomes extremely relevant. “Having received an allegedly negative rapid test for coronavirus, an infected person continues to lead an active lifestyle, go to work, meet friends and infect others without even knowing it,” the deputy explained.
He urged the head of Rospotrebnadzor to carefully monitor manufacturers and suppliers of rapid tests, and possibly develop new ones with increased sensitivity.
Earlier, Anna Popova assessed the likelihood of introducing a lockdown, quarantine, or some kind of emergency measures to counter the coronavirus. She noted that such restrictions are not planned in the Russian Federation. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, the number of cases will increase, but Russia already has clear and proven anti-epidemic measures, as well as diagnostic tools.
