This Tuesday, the Spanish Police arrested Rebeca and Francisco García, brothers accused in Venezuela of harassment and child pornography, according to official sources. The Venezuelan Prosecutor’s Office has been pursuing them since dozens of women told X last week that Rebeca García has been violently harassing and intimidating them since at least 2017. The investigations were expanded and the search was extended to her brother, a suspect, according to authorities to save videos and photos of minors.
Agents located them on Monday, after someone recognized them in a Madrid supermarket and called the police. Minutes later a patrol car showed up there and asked the two for their identification. Since they did not have it, they were taken to the police station. The police checked the database that they did not have any arrest warrants and, as required by law, they released them after six hours. However, at dawn an international arrest warrant arrived and the police this time did act: they showed up at the place where they knew they were and arrested them.
The video made public by the Spanish police shows the brothers in the Canillas Police Complex, the largest police precinct in Spain, located in Madrid, and where the Fugitive Location Section, the unit that arrested them, is based. .
