The Finnish premier, Sanna Marin, tormented to the utmost by the summer gossips, has returned to defend herself from the controversy that arose from the dissemination of some private videos in which she was portrayed while dancing and partying with friends.

“I am human. And sometimes I also want joy, light and fun in the midst of these dark clouds, ”Marin said, barely holding back tears, during an event of the Social Democratic Party in the city of Lahti, north of Helsinki.

“It is private, it is joy and it is life”, continued the 36-year-old premier, “but I have not lost a single day of work”. “I want to believe that people will look at what we do at work rather than what we do in our spare time,” concluded Marin, admitting that the last week was “quite difficult”

After the dances the photos
After the video that portrayed her dancing wildly at a party (she showed everyone that it was just fun: she tested negative for the drug head) two days later to get the Finnish prime minister back into trouble, a “daring” photo of two of her friends appeared in Kesaranta, the official residence of the heads of government.

In the image, which appeared on TikTok, there were two young women kissing with their torso almost naked and hiding their breasts with a sign with the words “Finland”. There was also a blue background very similar to that used by Marin in some official press conferences. The Finnish president admitted to reporters that the image was taken in Kesaranta and that the two young women in her photo are her friends, and she apologized for the photo. “I think that photo is inappropriate, I apologize. They shouldn’t have taken that picture, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary happened that night, ”Marin told reporters.

The premier also explained that the two young women were part of a group of friends that she had invited herself to the official residence on July 9, after attending a rock festival in which they had taken a photo of her in a leather jacket and shorts.
