The rise in hospitalized patients slows compared to previous weeks and the number of admissions to the ICU remains at 76
The escalation of coronavirus cases continues in the Region of Murcia, which reached the barrier of 5,000 positives in one day (5,008 in particular) on Tuesday, a new maximum of the pandemic, only 24 hours after exceeding 4,000 for the first time . According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, the incidence at 14 days now exceeds 2,300 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In addition, the tragic note of the balance is left by the statistics of deceased, since seven more people died from Covid in the last day.
However, infections are moving to hospitals to a lesser extent than during other pandemic waves. In fact, the increase in income has slowed down: in the last week they have risen 7%, compared to 22% and 50% of the previous ones. There are currently 381 patients hospitalized in the Region of Murcia for Covid, seven more than the last day. Of the total, 76 of them in ICU, the same number as 24 hours ago.
This trend is explained, in addition to the vaccine, because the highest incidences are concentrated among young people, who mostly pass the disease mildly. In fact, the highest rate of infections is registered among those in their twenties, while the figure for those over 65 is a third of the average.
