The objective of this initiative is to publicize an environment that, although very transformed, has evolved with a representative mix of non-native and native plant speciesand an “important diversity of fauna”, as indicated by the Consistory in a press release.
He ‘Torrelavega Natural Connection’ project, has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO)within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union-Next GenerationEU. It is a project led by the City Council in collaboration with the Serca Municipal Education Board and SEO/BirdLife.
