Mystery in Torrevieja. It might seem like the title of an Agatha Christie novel, but that’s what happens in the case of a patient admitted for two months in the hospital in this coastal town in Alicante, who suffers from amnesia and only remembers his first name and his age.
It is about a 71-year-old cyclist named Stephenwho is also known to be of British nationality. Precisely one half of his country, the Daily Mailis the one who tells the story of this mysterious patient.
The man suffered a stroke while riding his bike through the town of San Fulgencio last September 24for which he was admitted to the Torrevieja hospital.
Upon recovery he suffered severe memory loss and can only remember your name and agebut no other details about his life or his loved ones. No one has reported him missing and an ongoing police investigation has yielded no further clues.

The problem is that Stephen feels “unwell” after suffering a second stroke in the same hospital and his condition has not improved. “We want to interview him and try to get more information but right now he can barely talk,” the source added.
“We have absolutely nothing to base it on, because he was not carrying a wallet when he entered and we only know his name and age,” says the source. “There are also no reports of missing persons that match their name or description,” he adds.
Stephen asked for his photo and story to be shared online in the hope that someone could help identify him and tell him where he lives. An appeal spread on the Internet by the local police force says: “Collaboration requested for the identification of the man in the photo. Due to an error, it has not been possible to identify it correctly, so we ask that anyone who believes they can provide any information of interest contact this Police at 696 465 481.”
“He says his name is Stephen, without further information”concludes the statement.
