On March 29, the travel planning service OneTwoTrip named in a conversation with Izvestia the most expensive hotel bookings that its clients made in early spring.
Tourists spent the most impressive amounts on holidays abroad. A record was set in the Maldives: four adults lived in a five-star hotel for three weeks with three meals a day and paid 3 million rubles for it. The second place was taken by a vacation in Mauritius: 11 days in a five-star hotel with breakfast cost two travelers 1.9 million rubles. In third place was a stay in a five-star hotel in Dubai. There, a company of four people lived for eight days and spent 1.55 million rubles, this amount included two meals a day.
The list of expensive foreign bookings also included a vacation in the Seychelles: a family of two adults and a child lived for eight days in a five-star hotel with breakfast, which cost them 1.4 million rubles. And for a 12-day vacation in Phuket in a hotel of the same category, where only breakfast was included, a family of three adults and a child paid 1.34 million rubles.
March holidays in hotels in Russia cost significantly less compared to holidays abroad, however, several large orders were made in our country. Moscow took all the top places in the ranking, and clients of the service did not book meals in any hotel. Thus, two adults stayed in a Moscow four-star hotel for 27 days and ended up spending 476 thousand rubles; in second place was an order for two for four nights in a five-star hotel for 458.7 thousand rubles. And one traveler, who stayed in a Moscow five-star hotel for 20 days, paid 448 thousand rubles.
In addition, quite impressive sums were spent by Russians vacationing in the south of the country. A two-week vacation in the four-star Esto-Sadka hotel cost two travelers 429 thousand rubles (the price included breakfast). And for a 9-day vacation in a five-star hotel in Sochi, also with breakfast alone, two tourists paid 290 thousand rubles.
Previously, OneTwoTrip compiled a rating of countries where Russians want to visit in the summer of 2024. Turkey topped the summer top: 22.4% of travelers want to go there between June and August. Georgia took second place with a share of 18.1%. And in third place was Armenia, where 4.6% of travelers want to relax this summer.
