An agreement between the Government of Mexico and the Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabiin United Arab Emiratesheld this Thursday, October 6, will allow the exhibition of Mexican archaeological pieces for the first time in the permanent rooms of the institution.
The selection of pieces from various Mesoamerican cultures will account for the enormous cultural and artistic wealth of Mexico in the capital of the Arab world.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), contributed to achieving the agreement by establishing links of cultural cooperation with United Arab Emirates through its cultural institutions.
On the part of Mexico, Martha Delgado PeraltaUndersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights of the Chancelleryled the delegation, along with Luis Alfonso de Alba, Mexico’s ambassador to United Arab Emirates.
Also present was the Jewish-Mexican Bernard Noval, founder and CEO Must Wanted. On behalf of the museum, the meeting was attended by Manuel Rabatè, director of the louvre from Abu Dhabi.
The agreement between the Government of Mexico and the Abu Dhabi Louvre Museum in United Arab Emirateswas achieved through diplomatic dialogues held with Arab cultural institutions at Expo 2020 Dubai.
During the last months, he points out the SREwhich have been strengthening collaborations between institutions and museums in Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, the National Institute of Anthropology and History and the Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabiwas recognized by Undersecretary Delgado after the positive results that will be reflected in the coming months.
