LA VERDAD publishes tomorrow two electoral polls from Murcia and Cartagena

Sigma Dos, the leading company in Spain in demographic research, has commissioned LA VERDAD to carry out two sociopolitical studies in the municipalities of Murcia and Cartagena, based on two surveys with 600 interviews each. A broad sample that sheds light, eight months before the regional and municipal elections, on what the vote estimate is today in the population of both cities. In political terms, there is still an eternity before the moment of depositing the ballot in the polls, but the polls show the electoral support of the different parties and the citizen’s assessment of their leaders at the start of the pre-election race, showing the preferences of Murcians and Cartagena if the elections were held today. The interviews were conducted by the Madrid demoscopic company between September 20 and 28.

Tomorrow, both in the newspaper and on the web, the estimate of the vote in both municipalities, the resulting projection of councilors and the assessment and public knowledge of local leaders will be published. The 600 Murcians and the 600 Cartagenans surveyed also respond to different questions, two of which are advanced today (the opinion of the Cartagenans on biprovinciality and on the provision of financing and services to the municipality by the Community and the Central Administration) . In the municipality of Murcia, Sigma Dos has asked about the situation in which the municipality currently finds itself, about what are the priority problems identified, about the pedestrianization of the center and the reduction of road traffic and about the conservation of the center and the districts . In Cartagena, in addition to the two aforementioned issues, an assessment is requested of the government pact between Ana Belén Castejón (ex-PSOE) and Noelia Arroyo (PP), with the support of Ciudadanos, for which the first two alternated at the head of the government. municipal. It also asks about the current state of the municipality and its priority problems.

On Monday we will publish one of the most interesting parts of the sociopolitical study: the transfer of votes observed between the different parties. Data that arises from crossing the intention to vote with the memory of the vote deposited in the last elections by each respondent. This allows us to observe which parties currently maintain greater loyalty from their voters, which ones lose and win more than the different formations… These are data of special interest, such as those we offer for the segmentation by age of the vote and the evaluation of leaders.

Finally, next Tuesday the results of the intention to vote at the regional level of the Murcians and Cartagenans surveyed will be published, which gives a good idea of ​​the level of support in the two main municipalities for the parties that aspire to preside over the regional government. . There is no projection of seats because the sample, with the current single constituency, would not be representative, but it provides relevant information on the support that the main political forces now have. Both studies ask those surveyed for their preferences about who would be the best president for the Region of Murcia and which party they intend to vote for in the elections for the constitution of the Regional Assembly. The answers obtained by Sigma Two are offered segmented by sex and age.
