The US-led Joint Task Force, which is fighting ISIS, has arrested a prominent leader of the group
In Syria, the coalition said in a statement Wednesday.
“The detained individual has been assessed as an experienced bomb-maker and facilitator who has become one of the group’s top leaders in Syria,” the statement read.
According to the coalition, the mission was “meticulously planned to minimize the risk of collateral damage, particularly any potential harm to civilians.”
He continued, “No civilian was harmed during the operation, and no coalition aircraft or assets were damaged.”
The sources said: “Planes believed to be affiliated with the international coalition carried out an airdrop operation on the outskirts of the village of Himer, southwest of the city of Jarabulus,” and that violent clashes erupted between the forces that carried out the landing by two planes and the protection of 4

International coalition forces carried out a landing operation in northern Syria, during which the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was killed in 2019, and then carried out a similar operation in which his successor, Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi, was killed early this year in Idlib countryside.
