A few days ago, I followed the global excellence and achievement of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, as it won the International Quality Award for the year 2022, granted by the International Quality Institute in the United Kingdom, outperforming more than 55 government and private agencies from different countries of the world.
An achievement that confirms the global leadership of the authority in the application of standards and specifications of quality and institutional excellence. This is not surprising, and it annually receives the first places and the greatest share of awards in the categories of government excellence courses during the past few years. After it changed all concepts of work and government performance through smart solutions that it adopted and made all its customers happy.
During the same period as announcing the authority’s victory in the International Quality Award for the current year, I was watching a video clip of the queues waiting to renew passports in one of the major industrialized countries, and the talk of those waiting who came to the place since the early hours of the morning to submit their requests to renew their documents.
When you see such scenes or hear the suffering of some residents when renewing their passports from their countries, which sometimes takes more than three months, you invoke the greatness of achievement and paperwork enjoyed by the people of the Emirates and those residing on its land, as they complete their transactions, including the renewal of passports for citizens Or residency and “identity” cards for residents through smart applications without leaving their places or knocking on the doors of the Authority’s offices.
I once followed the case of a citizen who was surprised by the expiration of his passport on the night of his flight, and while he was in a state of confusion due to his fear that his programs would be affected when the flight was canceled, a friend advised him to try the renewal through the “application” which took minutes, followed by a call to the achievement and inviting him to collect his new passport from a private port In the departure hall at the airport of his choice.
A classy treatment by the “welcome” youth of this dear country, saluting them for their keenness to embody the vision of our wise leadership, not only in serving customers, but also making them happy. And feel the amount of effort they provide at each of the state’s outlets or when reviewing them at their headquarters.
A few days ago, I was in a branch of the authority in the “Federal Passports” on the Arabian Gulf Street in the capital, and I saw the opinion of the eye that workers from the highest rank to the smallest employee were keen to help customers, especially senior citizens. Thanks to all of them and congratulations to the authority for their uniqueness and distinction, which only increases their determination and enthusiasm to provide the best.
