The first actress Teddy Guzman is back on the small screen. Every night, on the soap opera'Super Ada', she slips into Alucarda's skin. “He is a somewhat mysterious character who keeps a big secret. She is a little manipulative too,” she describes her.
-What do you feel when they tell you that when writing the character they are already thinking of you, as happened with Alucarda?
–I swear to you that I feel grateful, with God, with people They tell me those things, because Maricarmen (Marín, protagonist and producer of 'Súper Ada') told me during a lunch: 'You were the first!'. And I am infinitely grateful because that means that my work is worthwhile, that my work in some way moves people, the public. So, it means that I'm not doing it for pleasure, that I'm not doing it wrong, and I really like that because I put a lot of effort into it.
-And in addition to the effort, what else should the actor put in so that the character, like the ones you have played, remains in the public's memory?
-I believe that we can all achieve it. I always put something of myself into my characters, and not only that, but on a day-to-day basis I read the scripts and I adapt and add things that remain in the eye and mind of the person who catches their TV. That's what I like to do with all my characters. I want my characters to always have something to hold onto because of the public and for the public to ask me for things on the street and for me to always keep them in my head for the next contract.
YOU CAN SEE: Who is Virna Flores, the actress who plays the highly criticized jungle character in 'Super Ada'?
-Alucarda is neither good nor bad
-He is a human being like any other, but he has a gift, which is a bit of the gift of guessing, intuiting. He has very developed intuition and his card game that helps her a little. In addition, he also has the gossip, who very knowingly knows how to find out everything that happens in the neighborhood and then apply it to his business.
-Your character has a nephew.
-Yes, the Trinche (played by the actor Diego Perez), who has a far from holy past. He is my sister's son and I have no choice but to put up with him (laughs).
-What advice would you give to those starting out in the world of acting?
-In addition to have discipline, you have to put in everything and shoes because that's how you get things done, putting effort. Not letting time pass or saying: 'This is nonsense, I do it this way and that's it.' You have to have, as you say, discipline and the desire to be someone in this difficult environment.
-After the theatrical blockbuster in Bruges, what's next?
-This year I go from witch to witch (laughs). I finished the play and here I am another witch. I'm about to respond to two film projects, but I still don't know why my timing is a little complicated. I have to travel anyway and I don't know if I'll be able to get back in time.
