The Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) approved this Wednesday, 17th, studies for the concession of two road sections: 304.0 km of BR-381 between Belo Horizonte and Governador Valadares and 594 km of BR-040 between Cristalina (GO) and Belo Horizonte (MG). The ministers asked, however, that the projects undergo adjustments, which must be done before the publication of the notice, scheduled for May.
According to Infra SA, a state-owned company linked to the Ministry of Transport and responsible for structuring projects and undertaking environmental studies, the studies approved by the TCU include a series of updates.
Among the innovations in the concession project for the BR-381 section is the allocation of 1% of the revenue obtained by the concessionaire for projects and solutions that aim to avoid or correct the impact of extreme weather events on infrastructure.
The stretch of BR-040 is part of the Via 040 concession (BR-040/DF/GO/MG), which was split into two new proposals: the “Rota dos Cristais” and the “Rota do Pequi”, between Cristalina (GO) and the Federal District, which will be granted with the section of BR-153/060, between Goiânia (GO) and DF.
“The approval of these studies is an important step so that the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) can publish the concession notices. The expectation is that the concession notice will be published at the beginning of next month by the Agency, one hundred days later there would be the auction, most likely at the end of August”, explained the National Secretary of Road Transport, Viviane Esse.
