Surprise at Expedition Robinson: ‘What happened here?’

Tonight’s episode had a lot of emotion. With frustration at Rob Geus, who couldn’t get his rod together. With sadness and homesickness from the same Geus and also Dyantha Brooks. They miss their children. Dyantha is the mother of a son, Rob is the father of a daughter from a previous marriage and a son with his current wife. ,,I have found a companion in you,’ said Dyantha to Rob. “We both have small children. Mine is three and a half.” Rob: ,,Mine too. Hard is not it. I think about it every day.”

How Rob Geus left for Croatia? His son was at the door. “He said, ‘I’m going to miss you.'” Thinking back, Rob shed tears, and Dyantha broke too. She: ,,We know, it will come to an end. He’s going to be proud of Dad.” And later: ,,I didn’t expect to cry with Rob Geus in Croatia. Life can get weird.”

In the episode, Dyantha hinted at a voluntary departure, precisely because of the homesickness, but viewers still thought of other names when the Island Council was approaching. The name of Rob Geus (black voice) came by and Sylvana didn’t seem safe either.

Whether the candidates had kept it hidden from the makers and cameras remained unclear. Presenters Kaj Gorgels and Nicolette Kluijver were in any case surprised when Dyantha was sent home with seven votes against. Sent home expressly, as it turned out when Gorgels asked: “What happened here?”

Dyantha’s explanation: ,,I have discussed with the whole camp that for me the expedition feels fulfilled. I know that can seem like giving up to some people. That is true, but I achieved my goals and noticed that the need to go home was growing. I really want to see my little man.”
