His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated yesterday the “Tawa” mosque in the Al Hazana area of Sharjah, which is the fruit of the “A gift for your father” project launched by the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation for the benefit of its orphaned children, represented in building a mosque And watered water for their deceased fathers.
Upon the arrival of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness unveiled the opening of the mosque, which 909 orphans and their families helped build, in addition to the great contributions of community members. During its inauguration, His Highness was briefed about the mosque and its facilities for worshipers, which were represented in the irrigation of water and the constructed mural that includes the names of the deceased fathers whose sons participated in giving the ongoing charity on their behalf in order to strengthen the principle of the bonds of righteousness. His Highness listened to the explanation of his sons, who are members of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, about the mosque project and the extent of their joy at its achievement to bring good and great reward to them and their parents. The opening of the mosque included a religious sermon given by Dr. Salem Al-Doubi, in which he dealt with good deeds and their importance in drawing closer to God, referring to the reward for building mosques and taking care of them and taking care of them. The mosque can accommodate 425 worshipers, including 390 for men, and an attached prayer room for women that can accommodate 35 women. The building is characterized by a modern architectural style, and it consists of a dome of a circular shape, and its minaret rises to more than 22 meters.
The mosque’s external space contains 34 parking spaces, in addition to services such as places for ablution, bathrooms, housing for the imam, and a watering unit. The opening was attended by Sheikha Jamila bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Abdullah bin Yarouf Al Sabousi, Head of the Islamic Affairs Department, and Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation.
