Chiavari – A 45-year-old street vendor was seriously burned in the late afternoon in Chiavari, during the Sant'Antonio fair. The man, who runs a stall selling typical products, spilled a large container full of hot oil on himself. The street vendor was immediately helped by the volunteers of the Chiavari Green Cross while the emergency center sent the medical vehicle to the scene. The accident occurred in Piazza Roma.
Once stabilized, the man was accompanied first to the helicopter landing pad in Sestri Levante and then, on board the Grifo helicopter rescue stationed in Albenga, he was accompanied in code red to the burns center of the Villa Scassi hospital of Sampierdarena. His condition would be serious. Police officers from the Chiavari police station and ASL4 inspectors also intervened in Piazza Roma for the first checks. The incident is treated as a work injury.
