Al-Ittihad published a video clip on its Twitter account, announcing the renewal of the Egyptian star (31 years) for a period of four and a half years.
The management of the “Al-Ameed” club commented on the video clip with the words, “Hijazi is still a tiger.”
Hegazy, who played 80 international matches for the “Pharaohs” and scored two goals, joined Ittihad Jeddah two years ago on loan from West Bromwich Albion, England, before contracting with him permanently.
Hegazy wore the Al-Ittihad shirt during 54 matches in various competitions, and scored 8 goals.
Hegazy moved between several clubs, most notably Italian Fiorentina (2012-2015) and Al-Ahly (2015-2017).
