The platform will replace the New Year’s Sales, one of the four great annual promotions, with the spring ones.
It has been with us for a long time, but that does not mean that Steam has stopped adding new features to the experience of its thousands of users. through different updates, the team at Valve now presents content more intuitively and has surprised us with a major revamp to their stats portal. However, today we come to talk about the most attractive topic for users: Steam Sale.
Bargain hunters probably know the approximate dates of Steam’s seasonal sales by heart, but today we’re here to announce a major change: the platform will replace the Lunar New Year Sale, known to be one of the four big sales of the year, for the spring discount batch. In this way, and according to the data published by Valve in the official steam websitethis is the Sales schedule for the coming months:
- autumn sale: from November 22 to 29.
- winter sales: from December 22 to January 5.
- spring sale: from March 16 to 23.
Why the change? This is how Valve explains it in his statement: “Over the years [tras implementar las Rebajas del Año Nuevo lunar en 2016] we have been receiving feedback that the Lunar New Year was often too close to the december holiday sales period”, comment those responsible for the platform. “We believe that many publishers are still going to continue to offer discounts for their games around the Lunar New Year celebration, using the discount customization tools. But we suspect that customers It will be better for them to have a little more time between the big sales seasonal across Steam.”
In this way, we have good reasons to modify some dates written in our agendas. Of course, it should be remembered that we will soon receive a new batch of discounts with the Steam Fear Festival, which will take place on the dates close to Halloween and will offer us deals on both existing games and upcoming releases.
