The deputy of district 21, Edgar Piñón Domínguez, acknowledged that, although sections such as the Parral – Chihuahua short route, federal sections on the Chihuahua – Juárez highway, and on the Chihuahua – Torreón highway, are the responsibility of the Federal Government, the State Government has taken the initiative to work on these routes.
“I recognize the work of Governor Maru Campos so that the people of Chihuahua and those who visit us can travel on safer roads, especially during this holiday period when activity on the roads intensifies,” said Piñón.
The deputy also stressed that, although it is the responsibility of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) to release the necessary resources for the maintenance of these roads, these funds have not arrived, and it has been the will of the state government to intervene.
“The State Government is showing its face; Governor Campos instructed that the federal highways in Chihuahua be filled with potholes and maintained,” insisted Edgar Piñón.
