Star Wars Jedi Survivor it’s going to be a darker game, we’re told, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to go overboard and use terminology not suited to a younger audience. L’ESRB revealed that the words “asshole” and “bastard” they will be the worst terms in the game.
We remind you that the ESRB is the American videogame classification body, similar to our PEGI. Star Wars Jedi Survivor got a T-rating (Teen)that is, it is a game also suitable for younger audiences (not children).
The classification indicates that there is a slightly vulgar language, which includes the words “ass” and “bastard”. The latter was also already used in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order by the way and translates simply as “bastard”.
“Ass” instead literally means “ass”, but in Italian the term is not used in this way and therefore the best translation is “stronzo”. We don’t know for now what the official Italian translations will be, so it is possible that the term will still less intense with translations like “idiot”, also depending on the context.
Beyond the specific translation, it is clear that Star Wars Jedi Survivor it will not be a vulgar game and we shouldn’t expect terminology unsuitable for the little ears of kids, who probably yell worse at each other playing Fortnite and GTA 5.
Recall that Star Wars Jedi Survivor will be available from March 17, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.
Finally, we point out that the actor wants Star Wars Jedi Survivor to be of interest to non-Star Wars fans as well.
