As reported by the well-known and reliable insider Tom Henderson, it seems that the work on Star Wars: Battlefront 3 they may have been stopped, perhaps permanently by HE SAYS and from Electronic Arts.
Handerson stated in a series of tweets that we leave in attachment, that the reason for the blocking of work on the game could be due to the fact that the costs of maintenance of the license, would be Too high compared to the gains they could bring, with a consequent unsustainability of the project.
In fact, according to the data released by some developers, we would talk about the 20% more that EA should earn to get the same economic income, and thus be able to continue with the Disney license for the multiplayer games saga. Of course, the news could sadden the fans, given that some time ago there were even some leaks on possible characters in an elusive campaign of the game.
Unfortunately, however, the arrest of the project now seems likely also due to the more or less recent abandonment of many developers who collaborated in the previous chapter, namely the creative director of Battlefront 2, Dennis Branvall, the lead gameplay designer Christian Johannesé and the hero designer Guillaume Mroz.
Battlefront 3 was a pitched title from DICE, but ultimately, the title was shot down by EA due to licensing costs.
“It got turned down because it takes 20% more sales to make the same money”, said one past developer.

Battlefront 3 was a (project launched) by DICE, but ultimately the title was rejected by EA due to licensing costs. It was turned down because it takes 20% more sales to make the same money, a past developer said.
Also according to Henderson even if the works would have been stopped by EA, at the same time the team of HE SAYS it would still be working on numerous other titles, including a new one that should have passed the Stage 0, with approval in the first months of work.
Instead, two projects dedicated to the saga of Star Wars but more focused on single player and therefore story driven, of which, however, we do not yet know much information.
As always, we recommend that you take such news with pliers until official confirmation, and as Henderson himself says at the end of the series of tweets, it is possible that he works on Star Wars Battlefront 3 can suddenly start again despite the momentary and perhaps definitive stop. Therefore, until officially confirmed, pay attention.
Of course though we would be sorry if a new game in the series of interesting space shooters had been stuck in the bud, as although the second chapter had a tremendous launch, it had some decidedly spectacular ideas.
