From Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah at the wheel of a Lamborghini Urus. The Sant'Agata Bolognese SUV was the protagonist of #SHEdrivesalambo in recent days, a program aimed at a group of women passionate about the sports brand who traveled over 400 kilometers overcoming the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates and staying in a protected area of the Al Wadi desert.
The gathering, which lasted two days, offered a 360-degree analysis of the brand. The in-depth sessions began with a workshop on Lamborghini's forward-looking and stereotype-breaking principles and how it is tackling evolution and looking to the future. A session of the Centro Stile, Lamborghini's design department, explored one of the themes that make the brand known throughout the world: the almost infinite possibilities of customizing colors and finishes through the Ad Personam program.
The road trip began from the city of Dubai, heading east on a spectacular route to Jebel Jais, where guests dined at Puro 1484, the highest restaurant in the United Arab Emirates. Named after its height above sea level (1,484 metres), it boasts magnificent panoramic views of the country's highest peak, Jebel Jais, and its otherworldly landscapes in the Hajar Mountains. The last 100 kilometers of the route continued into the Al Wadi desert for some off-roading, ending in a 1,235-acre nature reserve where a typical Arabian dinner was eaten in the heart of the desert.
Powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine with power increased to 666 HP, the Urus S offers an improved power-to-weight ratio of 3.3 kg/HP. Acceleration pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h.
The #SHEdrivesalambo project was launched in 2023 in America, and then extended to other markets globally with the aim of giving voice to Automobili's messages
“It was fantastic to welcome guests from the Middle East to this event – comments Paolo Sartori, Regional Head of Automobili Lamborghini Middle East and Africa – giving them the opportunity to drive the Urus S and understand more about Lamborghini and how we are working to elevate our brand among a wider audience to avoid common stereotypes.”
