Senegalese President Macky Sall issued a decision appointing former Foreign Minister Amadou Ba as prime minister, to be at the head of a new government that included 38 ministers, more than three years after the abolition of the post of prime minister.
A statement issued by the Senegalese presidency stated that “Amadou” (61 years), a tax specialist, was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and a former Minister of Economy, and he was appointed as Prime Minister.
The new prime minister said after a meeting with the Senegalese president that the main priorities identified by the president include improving the purchasing power of families, reducing inflation, security, housing, vocational training, employment and promoting projects.
