Security MTV: Information leak revealed about three new hotels in Finland

The forensic inspector will not name three new hotels for MTV where the burglary has occurred.

Finnish hotels the data leak has been expanded to three new hotels previously known in addition, MTV News said on wednesday.

“The reporter of the program office has announced that the case also concerns three other hotels in Finland,” Helsinki Police Criminal Inspector Jukkapekka Risu told MTV.

The breach was against Sabre’s internationally operating hotel reservation system. The system is used at least in Helsinki, Kämp, part of the Nordic Choice Hotels chain, and Hotel F6. For them, the hacking affects almost 16,000 people who have stayed in a hotel.

A total of at least 20,000 victims of the data leak are now known.

According to Risu, the consequences of the information leak for the victims are impossible to assess.

The customer’s name, address, telephone number and e-mail address may have been the target of the breach. No IDs or credit card information has been leaked in the data leak.
