Superbike is coming to its conclusion and 2021 will close in Mandalika, a brand new track that will open the world dances with its production derivatives. The Indonesian track will make its debut in the world championship, immediately becoming the scene of the most exciting and close world championship fight in recent years. In fact, in Mandalika we will find out who will be the 2021 World Superbike champion.
It is the showdown between Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea, separated by 30 points in the general classification. But Superbike this year has accustomed us to sudden changes at the top, with unexpected twists and moments. There will be many unknowns in this last round, since no one has ever ridden on this track and the forces on the field are unknown. It is therefore impossible to make predictions to understand who on paper could be the favorite.
Undoubtedly the 30-point lead puts Razgatlioglu in a privileged position, however the reigning world champion has shown on more than one occasion that he is the ‘Cannibal’ we all know. But also pay attention to the other opponents, Ducati in the first place. Scott Redding will want to end his Borgo Panigale adventure in the best possible way, before moving to BMW. Michael Ruben Rinaldi is also determined to bring home a good result to start 2022 in a different spirit. Many other riders will want and can be protagonists, so the last round will certainly be full of surprises.
The entire Mandalika weekend will be broadcast live on Sky Sport MotoGP starting from Friday, while the races will be broadcast on TV8 from Saturday. Attention, because the times are totally different and it will start very early in the morning, considering the time zone of Indonesia.
